*A Notary Public is an attorney admitted by the High Court to such office and is held to a higher standard of care than an attorney. Due to the ethical nature of the services a Notary Public renders, the office of a Notary Public is held in high esteem.  A Notary Public’s functions include the preparation and witnessing of deeds for registration in various public offices such as the Deeds Office, certain types of specialized documents for use internationally, antenuptial contracts, powers of attorney, the administering of oaths, the witnessing of signatures on affidavits, and the certification of copied documents.
